Last month, Townsville’s favourite daughter, Anna Weatherup, flew me to Brisbane (where she currently resides) to do a photo shoot for her upcoming album. It was a very relaxed session and we spent a few days scouting out potential sites for the shoot and visiting many of Brisbane’s cafés and coffee shops. After a few shots around Brisbane, Anna’s boyfriend Andy drove us to the Sunshine Coast hinterland. We had a great time, taking photos around Maleny and Montville, then, just as the sun went down, we got in a few last shots on the beach at Currimundi. I’m now back in Townsville working on the cover art for Anna’s forthcoming album After The Storm. Anna finished the recording process this week, and I’m not far off finishing the cover art, so Anna expects to have the new album in her hands by the end of October. Very exciting!

“I find such excitement in the new portraits I take. I enjoy every minute working on the images to bring them to their best light, then showing the clients – it is always such a beautiful experience. I have treasured pictures of people which are so precious, either because they were from special moments in time, they are loved ones no longer in my life, or no longer in their life. These are so special, both to me and the clients who I shoot them.”
